success was worth the trip out West

That was a fine day. You got the largest fish on a stonefly nymph. Willi
and I showed a large, actively feeding fish four different flies before
he took, and promptly broke off under a logjam. Bruiser was cleaning up
behind us with nymphs. :-)

Bruiser actually woke me up to the idea of switching back to nymphs as the
caddis dropper thing got a bit tougher when I lost the last of those little
wet droppers (another Harry Mason special), and he was definetly "cleaning"
up behind us. That and the look of that deep, dark, corner pool fed by a
nice quick riffle. Perfect spot for the ole nymph. It was a bit tough with
the 3 weight, I think I got a bit lucky that I stopped that fish from
leaving me with a similar fate as R.W.'s.

P.S. to all of ROFF: Never compete with Bruiser on name that
tune/artist/album, at least not in the Rock, Country, or Bluegrass genres.

Yeah I may be able to compete with some of the rock stuff, but he would
clean my clock with he rest of it.

Last part of the TR coming later,
