Default Battery question

Ok here it is. Me and Dave were fishing and caught a few good bass and
started our usual"we know we aren't 60 but fight like we have been fishing
together for 60 years".. and one thing lead to another. we dropped all the
important stuff off at shore and went out it, Nobody won as we tipped the
boat and subsequently sunk it. We did manage to get the boat upright(filled
with water and Dave rescued the battery from the bottom of the lake. Motor
seems to be fine as does the battery. I have not re-charged it yet but I
guess I'll find out tomorrow. Thanks Ronnie one of the local stores here
sells the acid for the battery. I'm gonna add a bit if it doesn't seem to
work as before, On a brighter note the boat is cleaner than ever. It was
truly something that should have been caught on videotape, especially the
part when we flipped the boat and were both hanging over it drenched yelling
"Help"

If your trolling motor battery was accidently submerged in about ten

feet
of
water for about 15 minutes, would it cause it any harm? It's not sealed

it
has caps
