thanks john... i doubt jill would be serious about the fishing part of
the float, though she'd like to see it done i'm sure. it would be
mainly a nice day on the montana water kinda thing... something she's
never done before to my knowledge. still not sure where she'll be in
montana...

I'm just a dope with a boat- If she wants to float and she's in the area I'd
do my best - but I'm not a guide nor an outfitter ( I can't emphasize that
enough!). I don't spend near as much time on the water as the local guides
do, so we would be pretty much guessing as to what is fishing and what isn't
on any given day. I'm also not much of a coach- if she needs "coaching", no
CPR training, insurance, - yada yada yada.

outfitters (www.bentrods.com) for Missoula area fishing.

This, sadly, seems like a once in a lifetime deal. My advice would be to go
for a real guide with very good references if she really wants a good day of
flyfishing. If she justs wants a nice day on the river with a friend- bring
the friend & lets go.
