Default Upper Wisconsin Float Trip Flies

Have fished the Wisconsin a couple times this week. The bass are best
described as being "tentative". You can catch them but they aren't
smashing the flies like they were a few weeks ago. I've had my best
luck dead drifting brown bead head wooly buggers through deeper
runs.(Although any other earth tone crappie jig would work, I'd
wager.) I've also caught some fish on actively retrieved streamers
(Clousers etc). Nothing on top unfortunately. One fly that people may
want to have in their arsenals is a #10-#12 White Wulff. The Ephoron
hatch is overdo on the River and even though this week promises to be
cool (temps in 60s) they will have to come off sometime. The nice
thing is that I've found that in cooler Summers they tend to emerge
earlier in the day, say about 6pm as opposed to their hatching nearer
to dark in warmer years.

Muskies *are* biting though. Lost one last time out.
