I find that last little tidbit to be great advice Rich. When I moved into
superlines and discovered and started using the Palomar, I broke off a
couple of hooks due to that very thing, the line (loop) got hung in the
notch of the hook eye, I didn't notice it, and it will fray/nick and
everntually break off right at that point.

Needless to say, my *very next* pair of polarized shades were also
prescription shades, so I could better see that my knot was in order prior
to using it. Oh, and very definitely lube the line/knot prior to cinching it
down. Luckily, most of today's lines are relatively taste free and a little
bit o spit works just fine for me.
