When using this technique, does the spoon flash as much as retrieving
it?


It does not flash as much, but usually jigging is done when the fish are
sluggish - here in Georgia, anyway, and you are trying to make it look like a
dying shad, falling to the bottom and struggling to get back up toward the top.
