Default fishing the Outer Banks

Go south, DC... go down to Cape Hatteras about an hour or two (I forget
exactly how far, and depending on the time of day, traffic could be an issue
through Duck, Kitty Hawk and Kill Devil Hills). You can surf fish or you
can go on the Pamlico Sound side. I don't have an exact fishing hole for
you, but the guys in the couple of bait shops down there across the street
from the Comfort Inn in Hatteras were really helpful.

I try to avoid Duck -- too touristy and too crowded. It is too much like a
regular vacation spot. I head south to Avon & Hatteras on the Outter Banks.

om...
I need a little advise. I have a family vacation planned to the Outer
Banks in June. We are staying in Duck. I have heard from locals (the
tackle shop on Rt. 12 in Duck) the fishing in Currituck Sound is not
very productive. Does anyone have any suggestions on where the fishing
might be better? I don't need anyone's GPS coordinates or anything,
just a little guidance.
