I assuming you thinking about largemouth bass? You need a NC licence
most parts of Currituck.
Last time I fished Currituck was 16 years ago. Hauled my boatdown
there and fished the Kitty hawk areas as well as the west shore.
Main reason that I haven't been back is they had some tough times with
bad spawns due to droughts and storms etc. Also the area's building
boom took away from the charm the area once had for me . I have been
meaning to get back tho. Don't expect a lot of info on largemouths
from locals, most fishing is geared toward sal****er species. I
would check with NC fish and game people for good up to date info if
your after largemouth.

For what its worth here's some old notes: Brackish... so freshwater
sources on west shore are key. High salinity kills the fishing.
Drought bad, a wet spring helps keeps fresh water flowing in . Tides
effect salinity little. Mixed weed types near fresh water inflow.
Dense milfoil bay and reeds pattern on eastern shore near fresh
water.. Winds positional. Buzz/ DB Spinnerbaits followuped with a
large tex worm. I caught some nice bass within sight of the Kitty
hawk memorial way back then.
