For purposes of filling out the registration form, what constitutes being
a
member of this group?

Basically putting up with the bull puckey, giving what you can, and taking
what you need.

Is it just posting here,

Lurkers are members too.

or is there some official
membership?

Yeah, thats the ticket. Send me all your fishing tackel to be reiviewed.
When I have finished with it (in twenty years or so) I'll send back what
ever is left. Then you will be an official member. (seriously don't do
that.)

If it is an official thing, how do you join?

So repsonse above. Of course if you have less than ten thousand dollars
worth of tackle and equipment then you can't qualify by that method. Don't
worry though. You can become a junior memebr by sending cash, and then
maiking up the difference in tackle over 5 years at an interest rate of 99%
at which time you can send another thousand dollars worth of tackle to
finish purchasing your full membership.

About the Southern Classic. Just let the organizers know you would like to
fish it and sign up. Basically it is like MITM.

Years ago when Usenet was young and the internet was a gleam in Sun's eye a
bunch of computer guys who happened to ride motorcycles decided to get
togethor in some central location and meet each other. MITM (Meet In The
Middle) was born. The ROFB classics are in that same vain. Basically some
computer nerds who happen to fish for bass decided to get togethor and go
fishing.
