That's a tough question! Without a verified study, it is left to a lot
of conjecture....how big is the lake?...what time of the year?....and
probably a dozen other questions. Catch and release on site might be the
optimum answer, but that would entail a lot of additional rules and
checks...maybe the major tourneys could deal with that, but think of all
the thousands of local tourneys, and what they would be faced with. I
don't believe there has been any study that qualifys as "valid" that
shows any real harm is beng done to the bass population by the present
release critieria. jmo
