I'm going to be in that area tonite and tomorrow. I know the water's

I was in the area for the TU State Council meeting. My own rule is that
if I pay my expenses out of pocket, I'm gonna fish, at least a little.

That said, I heard rumblings that the fishing was "OK", but I didn't want
to waste my two hours on "OK".

At lunch, I took a quick walk outside, and I noticed a babbling brook
right outside our meeting place. Going in for a closer look, I spooked a
brookie. I saw a gentleman working on his house that this stream
bordered, and asked if I could fish his yard later that PM.

Meeting adjourned at 3, everyone split up, and I took to this stream. I
could barely cast w/ my 8'6" 3wt, but I managed. I took about 8 brookies
in two hours by picking the pockets and tiny pools, ranging from parr to
11"

On my way out, I pulled into one of the W. Canada lots, and found some
folks from the meeting. Turned out I made the right choice.

On an interesting note, our Catskills Coordinator couldn't get over the
woven flies Andy Cooper taught me (with my own enhancements).
