You are in the right place for bass but the wrong time

fishes best dusk and dawn around the high tide

best baits at dusk are whole fish baits

at dawn lures work great (Dexter Wedge)

Float works well ( keeps the crabs off )

this is only my opinion from my experience

Always plenty of weed there
