Hi,

I recently went on holiday down west coast, weymouth. Got Hooked on Fishing!
Im probably hoping to go back down very soon for a weekends fishing. Can
anyone recoomend some good spots for a newbie to try. Beach or piers or
rocks, i have some ledgering gear and rigs and some floats which we used to
catch makeral of the pier, i didnt have much success with the ledgering,
compared to the floats, probably due to location, but that was summer. Can u
still catch on floats successfully in winter? as i find that good fun sport.

Floatfishing after dark in Weymouth harbour will pay off pretty well (except
for a few days after heavy rain) at least until the end of November, maybe
even up 'til the new year.

Last question...can i beach cast succesfully on this rod?

Dunno, maybe. I rarely bother with beachcasting around Weymouth, regard it
as a tactic to reserve for occasions when all else has failed.

Cheerio,
