I located The Fly Fisherman in Orlando. This is a well-stocked
store with lots of selection, and a tyers corner where the
proprietor shared his skill of steelhead flies[snip] I'd recommend
this as
a stop to anyone from roff on a trip down this way.

I will second that suggestion. There's also a sister store on the
Atlantic coast.

Titusville.

I've not been in there in several years but the one
fly fishing purchase I've always wish I had made was in the shop.
They had a four piece T&T Heritage 5 wt that I passed on and have
never seen another either in a shop nor on Ebay. I was a novice fly
fisher at the time and the owner helped me get some casting kinks out
of the way when using big flies as I was going SW fly fishing the
next day. (weather wiped out those plans)

Sometime in the next few days I hope to make it to Bass Pro Shops.

I thought you were doing a tour of flyshops?

Well, I *AM* near Fantasy Land. g I've never been to a Bass Pro shop,
so I owe it to myself to experience the thrill. AFAICT, there aren't any
other shops to visit in the Orlando area, but I will entertain
suggestions. I'm not in the market for a guide, but appreciate the
suggestion.

Also, I may find myself in the St. Pete/Tampa Bay area in the next few
days. Any suggestions on "toy stores" in that area?
