Cabelas has there Polartec 300 fleece jacket in their bargain cave for $40.

Quantities/sizes/color are limited. It seems XL and 3XL are all that's
left, and the XL is just in Alpine.

I just ordered mine for trib fishing (and I'm an XL now!). I haven't tried
it, but I know people swear by the Polartec 200, and this seems to be 100
better.

Not really. It's a whole different animal. Nice. I got one of the
early models on a big sale once when I used to go to REI. But if
you're expecting a lot more warmth, no. There will be some more
effect of warmth, particularly in a light wind, but it's not 1/3 again
better than 200. It just helps block the wind some. You'd do better
in a stiff breeze with 200 and a wind jacket. Less bulk that way.

I did manage to wear it one year right up to the middle of December up
here in MN. I used to take smoke breaks at work and walk around
downtown Mupples 3 times a day. So it is warm. And it does do some
wind blocking. And it is somewhat rain and snow resistant. But...
