unspoken understanding: I can be a sarcastic SOB, and she will remain

Please don't take any of this the wrong way because I am just trying
to help you out and explain things. Given the number of emails we
have exchanged, I should hope that you know me well enough to realize
I am not trying to be mean, insulting, degrading, etc and am merely
