i didn't feel like he was trying to be a dick, i just responded in
the same (as i interpreted it) tongue in cheek form in which he
responded to my post - it wasn't meant to be confrontational.

I read your response with the tongue-in-cheek intended.

Here's another tip: ALWAYS interpret posts as if a smiley exists, or at least
make an attempt to clarify the intent. Wayno and I have a similar agreement.
Just a few days ago, Warren and I almost arrived at fisticuffs until he
clarified his intent. Lucky for him, let me tell you. . . ;-)

.. . .and ALWAYS (this is very important part of the tip) read Forty's posts as
if there's a smiley after each sentence.
