This is political correctness gone berserk. If someone wanted to use string
or line for that purpose he would need a mere metre or less. Than could be
wound around the forearm and never detected. To suggest that someone would
go to the length of carrying a few fishing reels in the hand luggage in
order to unwind a metre or so to strangle someone is utterly absurd. The
stupidity of the person making such a demand is such that he/she should be
regarded as too stupid to be employable in any position of responsibility.
