Default Time of day and bait for clear water?

Do you have a favorite color for clear water? I was thinking transulcent
colors and maybe white, blue, and grey in opaque baits.

Depends on the bait. For worms/creatures, Green Pumpkin, then black. For DS
baits, light smoke or motor oil. Green flake is a nice addition to either.
For spinnerbaits, translucent shad with a nickel blade or a big, nasty,
chartreuse or firetiger with chartreuse willow leaf blades. For soft
jerkbaits, albino. For hard jerkbaits a pro-blue pointer. And for
crankbaits - ah, hell, I might as well leave them home. Don't have enough
time to try all the stuff I've listed already.
