Line does not twist itself. Either the lure/technique (inline spinner/drop
shot/soft jerkbait/tube) imparts twist, or the equipment (spinning reel
with loose drag, binding bail, etc.), or the idiot holding the rod (you)
puts the twist in the line. I'm betting on all three in this case, but
mostly the last.
