Bear and boar seasons start on October 18, so in the couple of weeks before
that you'll see lots of hunters up there scoping out the territory. I was
there two years ago and it was pretty wierd. I was laying there in my bivy
sack listening to dogs running pretty damned close. And wondering if they
were chasing something. And not knowing whether to worry more about the
bear, the dogs, or the hunters.

Is there any reason that any campsite in the vicinity won't be similar? I
figger I'll be doing the same thing again, only with a tent instead of a
bivy.
