Kistler Rods - What is the REAL shakedown?
I don't spend that much, more like $335 to $540. What I was trying to
convey was I could be convinced to spend up to a $1,000 if an all mighty rod
was to be born.
I am quite happy with my IMX, and GL3 rods. I did own GLXs too, before they
were stolen. I will probably buy at least 2 GLXs by spring. I use both
Shimano Chronarch and Curado reels, preferring the Chronarchs.
But when they release a high quality injection molded blank (which will
eliminate the need to spline a rod, plus other advantages), I will be in
line to be one of the first to own it. That puppy of a rod may just cost
close to $600 to $700 for the rod. But first, I may have to buy one of
these Kistler rods just to check it out.
