Are Hunters psycho's??
I'm a hunter and owner of several guns. I wouldn't vote for Bush if you
pointed an assult weapon at my head and insisted ( won't happen this year,
but four more like the last four and ? ), partly BECAUSE I'm a hunter and
value thoughtful environmental policy.
The basic Republican platform doesn't offer much to anyone except the
extremely rich. Unfortunately for them, there aren't enough very rich
people to elect anyone, SO, they artfully woo one issue "knee jerk voters."
The NRA voter is a perfect example. I used to be a member, and I used to
train dogs for a NRA lobbiest. But they have so far stepped over the bounds
of reason that I consider them a THREAT to my guns now, "bad eggs" always
eventually ruin things for the majority and the NRA is now so extreme as to
be a bad egg. My lobbiest customer went elsewhere when I made it clear I
felt that voting for Bush because NRA says to is an incredibly stupid thing
for an outdoorsman to do.
The Reps have tacked on several other knee jerk groups ... none big enough,
alone, to matter that much, but combined a huge number of exceedingly
mindless and one-sided people ...like Bush himself, on their particular
"issue" they are "always right" and never question themselves. Scary group
of alliances, scary leader.
