Either of those would be fine.

Trust that you don't want to start learning on your own, unless, like
me, you just enjoy standing around in cold water in pretty scenery
whether fishing or not. You'll pick up bad habits and won't catch
many fish that way, at least at first. And catching fish is a biggie
for most who go fishing, fly or otherwise.
