I'm a hunter and owner of several guns. I wouldn't vote for Bush if you
pointed an assult weapon at my head and insisted ( won't happen this year,
but four more like the last four and ? ), partly BECAUSE I'm a hunter and
value thoughtful environmental policy
Well then, can you explain to me why so many outdoor types support
Bush? It mystifies me.
Probably for the same reasons that many 'environmentalists' support the Wise
Use political standpoint. They start attacking their own protectors,
accusing them of being the enemy. These outdoors types think that
environmental groups are actually harming their interests by trying to keep
them out of the environment, and supporting Bush will make more of the
wilderness accessible to them, therefore Bush = good, Environmentalists =
bad.
Check out
http://www.cdfe.org/wiseuse.htm to read how Orwellian things have
become. You end up actally thinking that the Sierra Club is evil, and that
opening up Wilderness areas to developement and the public is good.
