Angler Alert! Monday - Oct. 11, 2004
Actually, we had the best summer in at least five years. We got yellowtail
and (big) bonito around the Point Loma kelp, and lots of big sandbass just
east of the Zuniga jetty off the beach from Coronado. Most unusual fish was
a large thresher shark taken at the Coronado Roads anchorages. Many folks
in the marina got steaks off that shark! Considering the price of fuel now,
there
has been no reason to drive more that a few miles outside San Diego Bay.
Now water temperature is down to 61 degrees, and as Bob Williams would say:
"it's over"....
Regards,
Cliff
