Went to Hengistbury head today, used Jointed Rapala, 8lb line with fluoro
on the end bit. Managed my first ever Bass, tiny though, maybe 1 - 2 lb
so he got let off the hook, so to speak.

Cant tell you a thing about him I was so excited, like a big kid really!

I guess the bass are going now and the cod taking over...does the lure
style have to change with the species? Should I go deeper too?

I noticd the back of Hengistbury has the estruary (mudeford?), does that
fish well or anything in particular?
