Had a chance to get out today and with the advice of fellow board
member Phil K (Thank you, kind sir!!!), I made the trek to "location X"
on the Choptank and was in the fish for a good part of the afternoon.
Trolling the river is the key, finding them is the trick!
There are chickens from 4" inches to 14" inches all over the bridge in
Cambridge and everyone and their mother was working the area in hopes
of finding something to put in the box.
After allowing my sister and her boyfriend a few minutes of "pullage",
I made them put away the light tackle sticks and got onto the "boredom"
(as they put it until we caught a fish!) of trolling the river.
Tandem 5" inch chartreuse Sassy's with 2oz red jig heads was the key
all day as the whites never got touched. This is the sister and BF as
the first of many came aboard. Next week I intend on getting out early
as I heard the bite is early and tapers off late and the "birds" are a
sucker bet!!!....
