Default Psuedo Time

Your assesment is quite accurate. It takes some time to learn the
river, as the trout area is almost 30 miles long Fish are stronger in
different parts of the river at different times, same with the hatch
and of course it varies year to year. A good knowledge of access (
which there is a lot of) and trails is extremely helpful! A lot of
people hearing stories expect to catch lots of big fish quickly, but
that isn t so. Wind plays a very big factor as do the flows. The
present drought and over abundant pelicans, whirling disease, have
certainly hurt the fishery. The light is also very tough for some
reason, worse than on many other rivers I ve fished, especially
wading. Late June is a good time to be there. Caddis are out and if
it s been warm and low PMDs also.ANyone who want s to come out give
me a holler, I ll show you some spots MT
