A luxury tax is JUST what we need to battle the ogre of runaway

flies, tools, etc.) to US$ 1,000. We start with the SJ and the Madison.

Most of the people I saw on the SJ (excluding the ones fishing with
guides) would probably come in under $150, total, including flies. g
youch. now I feel like a po'boy. Most days on the stream I've got the rod my
great uncle made for me, the flies I tied myself, and the vest my wife
sewed for me. Even with materials spent, jeans, shirt and sneaks I'd be
hard pressed at 50 bucks. On a cold, wet day, hip waders and a jacket under
the vest, 75 would be pushing it.
Those guys need to fish more little native streams.
Tight lines to ya.
