I would tend to agree with the statement below..........I had a Merc
and it was always hard to start and once left me stranded in Lake Merwin
Wash. 'cuz it refused to start. The Evenrude would always start, but then
again it was only 6HP for a kicker on a sailboat.

I have no specifics, but I believe that it is safe to say that both
Evinrude
and Mercury have contributed equally toward the great success of Yamaha.
