Ontario (Canada) Fishing Location Service & Consumption Advice
For what it's worth, the consumption advice offered by my web site is issued
by the Ontario Government Ministry of Natural Resources every two years.
They provide the data only in book form; my site offers it as an interactive
web site.
The Govt said they were going to create a web site too, but after 1 1/2
years, nothing yet. They know about my service, but don't want to use it as
theirs. If they did, they could update the data as it becomes available.
A big chunk of our tax dollars goes into the compilation of the consumption
advice; it's too bad they can't spend a bit more to create a proper web site
for it.
ps. You don't have to click on any particular placename on the map -- you
can click anywhere, and it will detect the location.
Whoa-
I clicked on the Kenora icon to see what "advice" one would get.
Better tell the chamber of commerce you advise against eating walleye
more than twice a month if they're of any size - it might change the
restaurant offerings in town.
