It's time to start thinking about the next fishing trip.
Minnesota's winter trout season (C&R, barbless only) opens
Saturday January 1 and I've got a valid Minnesota license
and a Minnesota State Parks Pass on the windshield. Hmm...
I'm starting to smell a plan. ;-)

I couldn't plan to miss the Rose Bowl, so I'll have to be
snug in front of my fireplace in Urbana on New Years Day
making Sunday January 2 the travel day, probably to Winona.
Winona's a few minutes away from Whitewater State Park but
reference the moo goo gai pan theory. ;-)

Sounds like winter fishing on Trout Run Creek and the
Whitewater River in the State Park on Monday & Tuesday
January 3 & 4. An absolutely insane plan with a much better
chance of frostbite than actually catching a trout. Perfect,
I can hardly wait. ;-)
