We just rigged one on a big pontoon boat, the thing works best on a big
sterndrive, the outboard lower unit is almost too shallow, and it cavitates
pretty easily.
There are also the Lenco units that attach to a set of trim tabs, fairly
common on the coast, something to look at also if your rig could use tabs
for performance.

of the outboard. You steer it with the steering wheel , only cable is
power -
works great in open water for stripers but I would not want one on a bass
boat.
