Can someone one suggest another method of connecting to news group
besides "Outlook depress".I've tried accessing NG's through Google and
it works but is not very current and seems to lag in posting

Go dowload Forte's Free Agent (it only allows one NG, however).

Or, if you want to really 'play' with a wide open program, download Xnews.

You can get information on all kinds of internet apps at cws.internet.com -
just look at the newsreaders.

Personally, I use Xnews.
