Strictly speaking, no, not on any reel I've ever owned. Practically
speaking, you can usually screw the drag tight enough that the line snaps
before it gives. With 50lb line, though, perhaps not. I'd be surprised if
you can get a small spinning reel with a tight enough drag to resist
that.
How hard are you pulling the line? You have found and tightened the drag
knob?

Not giving it to much tug, no more that a 10-15lb pike would.
Yup, it has a drag adjuster, I've tried winding this right up, it has some
effect, but the line still pulls off the spool with it done up tight.

To put the drag into perspective, when wound up tight - if you hold the
braid, the reel will travel gracefully and smoothly all the way to the floor
!!
