You've got the right idea Shawn - the Federation tourneys are probably more
fitting for your needs. I see the Weekend Series in the same light that you
do - if I'm gonna take a 8-hour trip to Champlain, it will be for more than
a 1-day tourney & a much better payout than this new series offers.

I'm not looking to develop my pro fishing abilities or looking to break
into the pro circuit. I just want to fish a tournament of this caliber
for fun. To me, this serious should allow that.

Oh well .... guess I'll stick with my local BASS Federation tourneys. I
kind of wanted a taste of something a little bigger, just one shot at a
time, is all.

I think the way they advertise it is very misleading. My last 3 issues

hand in this series on my local lake and my wife finally convinced me to
give it a try. Then, I find out that I can't even do that.

I was excited to see my local lake being part of the tournament series.

I don't have the time or the money to travel to Maryland and 3 locations
in
New York. I only wanted to fish Lake Champlain.

Does anyone know why Bassmasters is forcing you to fish all 5
tournaments
?
