Default Anyone got the electronic Shimano baitcaster

I suppose I'll get to find out the hard way ;-) I'll let you know if I have
any problems. I guess once the new wears off a bit, I'll actually fish with
it, but right now it's too precious and too virgin to take off the rod rack
:-)

Well, that's what I'm saying...even if you get the Calcutta (US), you
only get a one year warranty. If something goes wrong, you're hosed
Davy. I'm still wondering why Shimano limited their warranty on their
flagship high-tech baitcaster. Anyway, it's a great reel and a blast
to cast (once you get the hang of it ;-)

Frankly, electronics and water don't mix well, and salt water is a worse
situation. I'm curious about the lifetime of these reels.
