Default FLW Tragedy

Prayers go out to the Strickland Family.

I'm thinking Tony probably suffered massive internal injuries caused by the
steering wheel and console, where his partner just flew out of the boat
unrestricted (single console boat).

I have been in boats that suffered damage from hitting a big wave wrong,
both as a driver and passenger. As the driver I almost went out of the boat
because of my partner. He was not holding on and was on his way out of the
boat and I reached for him. When I did, we hit a second wave that just
about tossed us both, because the kill switch was pulled and the sudden
deceleration along with the impact of the wave was not a good thing. I
managed to get a good hold of the steering wheel, and it just about ripped
my arm off because I still had a hold of my partner and he was now flying
forward. My arms hurt like hell for a few days but no one was really hurt.
But I can see how someone could really get hurt. If I didn't grab that
wheel, it could have been a real bad situation. All because my partner
wasn't holding on to the grip holds.
