Not to worry, Scott. As can be seen from the above, it IS ordinarily
extremely dangerous to have two or more librarians attending the same
event. However, I plan to be there and I have, through many years of
gradually increasing exposure, evolved a capacity to absorb a
staggering amount of bookishness with only minimal damage to my liver
and kidneys. While a certain amount of bruising can always be
expected from carelessly tossed marginalia, bibliographic shards,
fragments of indexes (as opposed to the much more benign indices), and
the occasional accidental misquote, none but the very old (or, the
"overdue" as they say in the trade) or the very young are likely to
check out.
