I'm planning a trip to Sand Point (Weston-Super-Mare) this weekend.

Does anybody know how it's fishing at the moment, or have any good tips?

Fish it on a low tide (I have never done high).

This agrees with what I've found on the web. Low tide is at 4pm on
Saturday, and I thought we'd probably do a couple of hours either side.
I hear that the tide can be a bit hairy there; is it a "be careful"
venue, or is fishing a flood tide there after dark seriously dodgy?

Use leads with grips on.

6oz grip should hold?

Yes, 6oz should hold. The tide is manic sometimes and I wouldnt like to say
what it would be like after dark. I have some arial pictures of the place and
where to fish if you want them or anyone else whos reading. Email me today with
