1) I'm driving back from Penns 2002 and blow out my car's air
conditioner.

Well at least I let you follow me across the high water on Elk Creek.
Oh, you only had hip waders. Oopsy.

2) I'm driving to the Mass Appeal 'clave and blow out a tire.

I am not responsible.

3) I'm driving to meet a wandering roffian who strayed into New
England for supper tonight and throw the main drive belt after
getting about 70 miles from home. Spent the evening in the company
of a tow truck driver instead. Thanks goodness for AAA Plus, or I'd
be staring at a $300 towing bill!

Well, I had dinner at the Cuban Grill across the street. The food was
marvelous. Sirloin tips with Mojo sauce, garlic mashed potatoes and
grilled asparagus. Since you never got here, I'm not responsible.

I had. . . well, nothing. The driver did let me buy him a cup of coffee.

Somehow I manage to drive back and forth, up and down across the
entire East Coast, from Maine to Florida, and never need so much as
a quart of oil, but throw another roffian into the equation and
things get fubar.

Yah know, kinda sounds like a periodic maintenance problem to me.

The part of the shredded belt that I could pull off kinda felt like
weathered leather, so I have no doubt you're right. I think that must be
the belt I should have changed last year.

Maybe next time. One of these days, I'm gonna set up the Boston
Massacre Part Troix. Sorry I missed you.

Yeah, me, too. Be sure to let me know when you're back up this way
again. Tony Weall was kind enough to send me some nice Emu feathers from
Australia and I had some to share. I also found this
bulletin-board-fodder ad from Juniper.net that only a Mitre security
nerd could love: http://css.sbcma.com/timj/pics/security.jpg

By the way, who forgot to pay the heating bill for this friggen state?

That would be LaCourse.

Walked out of the hotel and the wind chill was about 0! Time to head
back south of the Mason Dixon line.

Wimp.
