Went in 2003 and fished at Boca Paila

for one morning. Loved it even if this is not cheap fishing by any stretch
of the imagination ~ about £180 sterling for one morning. Caught my first
bonefish and had a cracking time ..with the wife too! A real bonus.
Careful it takes a while to get there from Tulum. Allow 1.5 hours and
although a 4x4 is not necessary it might be better: big pot holes in the
road / track.
If you can stop at Oscar's restaurant (+ eco tourism bungalows on the
beach). Warm welcome from this argentinian and good food!
other fishing lodges in Syan Khan biosphere reserve.:
http://www.pescamaya.com/ also ecotourism offered (swim with dolphins,
snorkling..., birdwatching fregrattes and sea eagle at the entrance of the
lagoon)

Warning: he who tastes sal****er fly fishing is likely to get hooked for

Would really appreciate any info on fishing South of Tulum. Plan on
camping some of the time and self guided trips are what I am looking for.
Thanks to any whom respond.
