Check out who made the first page of Adelsman's Cross Country page
today.

of hours.)

Looks good, George!
The kids and I were out on Xmas Eve (no pictures, unfortunately) and the 18"
of snow was still frozen enough on top to make cutting tracks no problem.
Just had the nice fluffy 3 inches on top to kick and glide through. The
frozen rain and subsequent snow on the sun-illumined trees and bushes was
gorgeous! And we got scolded by a red tail hawk- nesting? Juvenile?
Couldn't spot him well enough to decide.
I went out again solo on Xmas day, but made the mistake of waiting until it
warmed up to 13 sunny degrees. Crushing through the previously-frozen crust
and sinking into the deep stuff made for slow going. Got to wondering if
non-edged skis would have been better at staying on top? And wished for
groomed trails- something I usually don't prefer... andwe don't have down
here anyhow. Still a good day out among the woodpeckers and juncos. Duck
pond was frozen plenty well to scoot across. I always marvel at the
perspective from the middle of the pond, that I've only seen from the edge
earlier in the year.
Thanks for sharing the pix!
