Yeah didn't see them there. I only see listings for Businesses
located in Wyoming,
maybe we wouldn't see them on this list if they are out of state,
or they don't
license to out of state agencies and are listed with a different
name (as you alluded to).
Mike
If you have any other names for them, try this site:
http://www.thomasregister.com
I tried PURCO, but got no results. You have to register, but it
don't cost a thing
and I believe the are the largest database for companies and their
backgrounds.
Well, Thomas Register might be the largest *free* database, but there
are certainly larger. The ones we have are subscription based. I've
always turned to Thomas (and in days of yore, they were "those huge
green volumes over there") for information about manufacturing
companies, rather than service companies, although their web site
says that they include service companies.
Also, if you find them, I believe that Thomas Register give all the
pertinent info
about the CEO, President, Board of Dir. and what not. Will likely
tell ya which
states they are licensed to do business.
And if that is what you are looking for, and Thomas doesn't help you,
get yourself to the nearest research library that has a business
collection, and they should be able to help you out. Off the top of
my head, I'm not sure where one would look to find in which states
companies are licensed to do business.
As much as I hate libraries ( ;-) ) I found their information regarding
businesses is second to none. As Bill mentions, though, if you really
want to research a company, you have to get to the right library. At one
time I was considering a move to Arizona and wanted info on companies in
that area, but I had to travel about 100 miles to a big-city library to
get all the info I needed. Once I found the right place, there was
*oodles* of information. It's also worth mentioning that as much as I
hate librarians BSEG, they can *really* help you with the research
tools.
