Okay, this gives me storage for the first 10th of my materials. What do
I do with the rest?

How about I build you one of these (may not look exactly like the
picture though) and anything you can't fit into it you give to me?

Uh, thanks for the offer, but no. Hmm, well, lets give it a maybe.
I have recently purchased a "fly hive" (http://www.flyhive.com/) to
store my hackle. Going to get more of the filler kits. They're
expensive, but very nice.
I'm slowly cleaning up and organizing my fly tying materials. I've
taken all of my old flies that I've been keeping "just because" and put
them in a big, clear plastic jar. These are flies I tied when just
starting out. Some are pretty nasty.
I have a bunch of old deer hair that I tried to dye myself. Pretty
useless, as the hide is now hard as a rock and the fur shrunk by a
third. Got to find a home for it.
I keep most of my current materials in an old (but very large) plano
tackle box. With this and the flyhive, I can dump it in my truck and
travel. Have most of the materials I need to tie anything. The rest go
in four 4-drawer plastic cabinets. This is mostly deep storage for bulk
materials.
I will be looking at making a fly tying desk. Not a lap tray, but a
real desk on the functionallity of one of these

Only problem with this one is it "won't go with the decor," (in my
house, thats "early Air Force).
