LA: News Star Fishing Report
June 23, 2005BLACK BAYOU — The bream are biting around the trees on
crickets and worms. Bass fishing is fair on floating worms and plastic
frogs fished around the grass. Crappie are scattered around grass and
are fair on jigs and shiners.BLACK LAKE — Crappie fishing has
been fair to good near the bottom in 9-foot water on shiners and jigs.
Bream fishing is still rather good in shallow water on crickets and
worms. Bass fishing is fair in the channel on plastic worms. Catfish
are slow.LAKE BRUIN — Bream are fair on worms and crickets. Bass are
better early and late on topwater lures. Crappie are slow.CANEY
LAKE — Bass fishing is best early mornings on the points on
Carolina-rigged Brush Hogs.....
