Hi, Im fairly new to fishing. I live in Dorset and was wondering where some
good beach fishing marks are?

Practically the whole coast at is still fishing atm but things will slow
down over the next few weeks. Avoid the chesil unless you have someone with
you with extensive local knowlege and it's probably best not to fish sea
wetted rock marks alone in case of accidents - the winter layer of slippery
growth is back.

The best chance of a few from now 'til we get a lot of rain is light
floatfishing in the harbours (best around streetlights in the dark only a
coule of feet down) - use freshwater style floats and live prawns for best
results but ragworm will do.

The best chance of a bigger fish is spinning/plugging along any wadeable
shore, first and last light are the best times as usual.

Basically: fish shallow water and the surface layer and you'll beat bottom
fishers nine times out of ten atm - in the new year you'll find the bottom
fish stay a little longer after the shallow stuff clears out.

Cheerio,
