Hi,

I've got some chest waders, the cheap kind from Walmart, that

have begun to
leak. They appear to be leaking around where the boot part is
attached to the
upper part, because it's wet in that area above and of course

below that point,
all the way around on the right side and in spots on the left.

Is the water
coming in at the joint and then wicking up the leg as well as

going down into
the boot? If that's what's going on, how to fix it? If that's not
what's going
on, what is and how to fix that?

Thanks for any help!
David

What about a water bed patch kit?

Or a vinyl pool repair kit.

I suspect that the leak is on a seam. That can be difficult because
it is not a nice smooth place, instead there is a bump there that
makes it hard to patch. Maybe try some RTV (room temperature
vulcanizing rubber) available from auto parts stores. Smear it
liberally over the area, then put something over it, maybe a patch
from an old innertube.

You might try GOOP. I've found that it will stick to just about
anything. Jim
