PS - Nice to see are still full of **** and vinegar. Looking forward to
fishing with you again. The bachelor's fishing pad will be up and
running again as of 9/1 and you are welcome in my home anytime.

**** Ken, we need to fish again soon.... No fighting implied, expressed
or implied. Just good/clean drinking and fishing on some kick ass
waters. I still owe you a trip to DePuy's and you still owe me a bottle
of scotch. g

Yeah, DePuy's in February is a hoot and a half, ain't it. Some of
the finest (and in season, most expensive) trout water in the West,
on the cheap and almost all to ourselves. We will DEFINITELY be
doing that again sometime. And the tiny little BWOs and those killer
midge emergers of Willi's on the Gallatin. Not to mention, skiing
and wolf watching in the Lamar Valley. Winter is way cool in your
neck of the woods, I'm looking forward to getting back out there.

The bear eats stuff.

I open the door and holler.

We bluff.

Either he leaves or he comes at me. If he does, he will be a dead bear. No
permit needed.

....be the first trip I have ever packed iron....12 gauge......riot
gun.......minimum barrel length...

john.......can we keep the hide for tying flies?

What's the latest story on the Hemlock Bears? Talked to a friend who

camped
there a week ago. He said a bear went thru their trash. Others are

telling me
the bears are gone. Should I trade in my Warren Taj Mahal clone for a

Kevlar
version?

Some one told me to mix honey and bacon grease together and put it on some
else's camp site.

Then again, I could put it in Frank Reids's tent site and let the bear sink in
what will be a pool of mud if Frank's luck holds.

Are you insinuating that Reid's Run is a "pool of mud?" Slanderous. How
dare you sir. I challenge you, four weights at 20 yards. I'll have Roger
as my second.

Yah know. I often wonder why I go back to Hemlock. Between the floods,
getting my truck stuck in the mud, the floods, bears eating my drugs and
tent, packing my tent in the rain, the floods, camping can really suck.
I've got a line on a popup camper. With some alterations (an inch of
boilerplate welded on), it should be bear resistent.
